Raúl Lamuraglia
He is currently a professor at the NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF BUENOS AIRES, Argentina and is in charge of the anesthesiology service of the operating room of the UBA. He leads and directs the Anestesiología Equina working group, with which he travels around the world training veterinarians in horse anesthesia. Dr Lamuraglia currently also designs and manufactures portable spontaneous breathing anesthesia equipment.
"No horses, no life"
Dr Lamuraglia was born on November 30, 1969 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Since he was born he was surrounded by horses. He learned to ride a horse at the age of 3. He practiced vaulting, was a show jumper from 8 to 22 years old, he played Polo, tamed Polo horses and practiced Carriadge Driving, being part of the Argentine team of the mentioned sport, competing in the world championship in Sweden in 2004. Following with the family legacy, he is a Welsh Cob breeder, which was imported by his father to Argentina in 2000.
Graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Science UBA, Buenos Aires (1998). Training in Equine Anesthesiology at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, ​​Spain (1998). Specialization in Mechanical ventilation equipment at the Alfonso X El Sabio University, Madrid, Spain (2008). In Paris, France with Dr. T. Grubb and Dr. W. Muir (2008 and 2009) and at Texas A&M University with Dr. M. Lepiz (2010). Founder and Director of the Anesthesiology Service of Kawell Equine Hospital and Rehabilitation Center (2008-2022). Founding Member of AAAVRA. Speaker at numerous national and international conferences.
Paola Cristaudo

"Field anesthesia is a great tool"
Dr Cristaudo was born on August 4, 1991 in Laboulaye City, Córdoba Argentina. Graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine UNRC, Río Cuarto (2016). Since she can remember she was related with horses, first as a working countryside rider, at her cattle breeding family farm, now as a vet specialized in horse anesthesia.
She began working as vet in charge of neonatology and general equine clinician in a Polo horses farm (2017).
In 2018 she did an internship at Kawell Equine Hospital and Rehabilitation Center, working in areas such as equine internal medicine, neonatology, and critical care medicine. It was here where she took her first steps in equine anesthesia. She began doing field spontaneous breathing inhalant anesthesia with Dr Lamuraglia in 2018.
Speaker at numerous national and international conferences such as “Intensive training in equine anesthesia”, in Veronica, Buenos Aires in 2019, 2021, 2022 and 2023. In Tucumán, Argentina in 2021 and 2023. Corrientes, Argentina in 2021. Panamá in 2022.
